The Big C-It’s not what you think it means

We all know what the big C used to mean. Now it means something entirely different as of March 2020. I may have had the big C before anyone even knew what that was. Hacking, coughing, fever, no energy. I can’t remember if I lost my sense of smell. I just know that when I’m fluish, nothing tastes good, even before the big C. It’s been over a year and half since then, and so much has happened in that time. It feels like I’ve lived a lifetime!

First of all, the big C called Changes: We moved from Mesa, AZ to Show Low, AZ. It’s beautiful here. I ever survived my first winter!

This is my morning sunrise!

And this is our first real snowfall. Another of my big Cs is COLD!

Look at next C-My cute home!

These Cs are stinking adorable! Chickens and children (of the grandchildren variety). And a cute photo of my chick when she was just a baby.

Check out her flip-flops. They are always on the wrong feet! Hehe

They were all quite happy to be wrangling them. I have six laying hens and one rooster, who is so sweet!

He watches out for his ladies and lets them eat first. He’s such a gentleman!

C-California and a quick trip to see Carlsbad Flower Fields.

We next went to my grandson’s commencement for his HS graduation. He received the highest scholarship. I’m so proud of that boy!

Cora made the decision, along with her mom and nana to get baptized. So Grandpa and I flew out so Grandpa could baptize her. We’re so proud of her!

And then our drive down the Coast of Florida.

My last C is that in my church (ah, see what I did there?) we get Callings. Those are assignments to help the members in my church. Last January I was called to the Relief Society Presidency. If you don’t know what that is, it’s the oldest and largest women’s organization in the world.  It’s been such a joy to serve with the women in my Church. They are a blessing in my life. (I thought I had a picture. I guess you’ll have to take my word for it.)

Here’s a beautiful picture of my church building. I love how picturesque it is!

What big Cs have happened in your life in the last two years?
